The Finnish Gulf is a paradise for a trolling fisherman. The area offers the fisherman a chance to meet their lifetime fishing experience.
Helsinki is the only capital in Europe which offers the possibility for salmon trolling so near the city center. When fishing you will be able to see the city at the horizon while still being almost in the middle of Finnish Gulf.
64 salmon were landed during the three day Helsinki Trolling Contest in year 2007. The biggest one weighed 12,969 kg and the average weight was 6,388 kg.
Helsinki, the capital of Finland can offer all the required facilities to a demanding fisherman. The Helsinki Salmon Trolling Contest will take place during 27.06.2008-29.06.2008. The competition arrangements will be taken care of by the biggest fishing club for trolling fishermen: Suomenlahden Uistelijat R.y.
For the fishermen wanting to participate in the event but not having possibility to use their own boat we have arranged the best Finnish salmon trolling charter boats to be available for hire during the event. This arrangement makes it possible for everyone interested in trolling to win the Helsinki Trolling Contest 2008 and at the same time to meet the personal experience of fighting against a big salmon.
